| RESCUE1000 is a volunteer team of local law enforcement, firefighting, and emergency medical service professionals that have a strong desire to bring positive change to those in need.
Our name is synonymous with an incredible fundraiser designed to benefit the Huntington Beach Search and Rescue Explorer Program and the El Oasis Children’s Orphanage in Mexico. Both of these organizations support the youth of today; therefore creating the leaders of tomorrow.
The adult Police Officers, Fire Fighters, and EMS advisors of the Huntington Beach Search & Rescue will race the Baja 1000 in November 2007 to fulfill a dream of the Search & Rescue Explorer Scouts. Our team will assist the Explores and the Children of El Oasis with the biggest fund raiser and adventure yet!
We are very excited to share with you our biggest service project yet! In association with S.C.O.R.E. International, RESCUE1000 is an adventure of a lifetime that will allow funds to be donated to the Huntington Beach Search & Rescue and the El Oasis Orphanage from sponsorship, general donations, and clothing sales. In November 2007 the RESCUE1000 team will saddle up on an off-road motorcycle and race through the beautiful Mexican desert on the Baja peninsula during the 40th anniversary of the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000. “Racing to rescue” is the cause that RESCUE1000 is so passionate about!
In addition to monetary donations, our team will seek assistance from professionals who can give strategic advice to ensure our endeavor is successful.
